Abstract
Particle harvesting is an important step in the pharmaceutical industry, as it directly correlates the yield of the manufacturing process. Granular suspensions are subject to study with the objective to passively harvest the particles it contains. To this end, a numerical simulation implementing a dense granular suspensions in a laminar plane Poiseuille flow is used to determine if the boundary conditions could allow harvesting using the intrinsic properties of the flow. The simulations shows the limit of the algorithm when the true-slip boundary conditions is applied.
