- Abstract
- This thesis evaluates different valuation approaches for distressed German mid-market au-tomotive companies. By applying DCF, adjusted DCF, APV, real-option, multiples, and sce-nario-weighting techniques, recovery and enterprise values are estimated. By developing six distress-specific metrics based on qualitative and quantitative insights, the study builds a scorecard that recalibrates each model’s weighting to determine a total enterprise value. The Schlote Holding GmbH case study results in a hybrid framework with an enterprise value of approximately €122 million. A Monte Carlo experiment yields a median of €139.9 million with a 5th–95th percentile range between €122.4 million and €157.4 million, confirming the framework’s robustness.
