- This master’s thesis was conducted in collaboration with ArcelorMittal’s Steligence department. It aims to validate and further investigate an in-house software developed for the analysis and design of composite megacolumns by developing, in parallel, an independent computational tool. The study focuses on the structural behaviour of composite megacolumns with several embedded steel profiles that are not welded together, with particular emphasis on the axial force–bending moment interaction diagram. The developed Python-based implementation is used to compare and validate the results obtained with the MegaColumn software, while also exploring advanced theoretical approaches that could be integrated into future developments of the tool.
