Abstract
The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS), a particle detector around one collision point of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), will be upgraded to fully exploit the increase in luminosity planned for 2030 at the LHC. A team at UCLouvain is integrating one endcap of the future CMS outer tracker. Our goal consisted in the analysis of the performance of the strip and pixel silicon modules that will form the tracker. Noise measurements were performed on individual modules, to observe the impact of the test setup, of the temperature and of the strip length. During an exercise, twelve modules were integrated on a half-disk structure that will later be used in the tracker. Tests were run to check that the structure can efficiently cool the modules and that the noise levels are satisfactory.
