Through the design of psychiatric hospitals for children and adolescents, this work explores how space can contribute to well-being and improve the quality of care. It is materialised through two projects located in Liège - one in the heart of the city, the other in the heart of nature. It questions the impact of context on design and how spaces can meet the specific needs of young patients. Guided by the notions of flexibility, openness to the neighbourhood and destigmatisation, the approach aims to create a sensitive architecture, capable of welcoming the child in all their complexity. The project proposes places that adapt, soothe, and value the relationship with others and the environment. It defends the idea that a children's psychiatric hospital should be a living space in its own right, designed at their height, respectful of their rhythm and a bearer of hope.L'architecture peut être un levier pour une meilleure qualité de vie.
