Moreover, to analyze the drivers behind income inequality, the regression-based decomposition and Shapley value decomposition methods have been used. It appeared that the two most important contributors in the explained inequality remained the Province and the Occupation, for both years. Besides, the Work Experience seemed to contribute significantly less into the income inequality in 2002 than in 1995, which is in line with the income inequality literature conclusions for the whole population. On the other hand, the contributions of the Industry and the Ownership factors have increased significantly. This finding was also found by other papers, considering the whole population in China. Regarding, the Communist Party in China factor, it has been analyzed as the last contributor for both years. As regards the Education, the factor kept its place of fourth contributor even though, for the whole population, the factor contributed more and more into the income inequality.inequalityShapley valueLorenz CurveGini IndexConcentration Curveregression-based decompositionWhat are the drivers of the income inequality for the women in urban China in 1995 and 2002?text::thesis::master thesisthesis:23430
