Abstract

Ce mémoire se propose de relire et de confronter divers écrits de Beauvoir et de Sartre composés durant les quinze premières années de leur relation afin de réinterroger philosophiquement leur modèle amoureux, lequel fut tout à la fois encensé et battu en brèche par leur lectorat. À cet égard, les tiers contingents que le couple fréquente s’offrent comme un moyen privilégié pour réévaluer le modèle sartro-beauvoirien dans la mesure où ils sont au cœur des interrogations que celui-ci suscite. Ce questionnement autour de leur modèle amoureux conduit également à mettre au jour de nouvelles réflexions sur le rapport à l’écriture de Beauvoir et de Sartre, lesquels deviendront un couple d’écrivains qui marquera l’histoire de la littérature et de la philosophie.

This master thesis aims at philosophically reevaluating Sartre and Beauvoir’s model of love, which was both praised and criticized by their readership. By comparing various texts written during the first fifteen years of their relationship, we aim to analyze how their « contingent third lovers » bring a new insight into the sartro-beauvoirian model. This reflection around the model of love of this couple of writers, who will later mark the history of literature and philosophy, leads us to bring to light new reflections on their relationship to literature.
