Abstract

Ce mémoire en sous-titrage comprend trois grandes parties. D'abord, une introduction au sujet traité dans les documents audiovisuels, à savoir les chemins de fer en Belgique et aux Pays-Bas, qui s'articule autour de trois volets : le passé (l'histoire), le présent (données sur la situation actuelle) et l'avenir. Ensuite vient la traduction à proprement parler des deux documentaires, c'est-à-dire un tableau reprenant les sous-titres et les dialogues originaux en regard, ainsi que quelques données techniques. Enfin, ce mémoire se conclut par une section consacrée à des commentaires de traduction et de sous-titrage. (en) This master's thesis contains three parts. First, an introduction to the subject of the documentaries, i.e. railways in Belgium and in the Netherlands, that is built around three aspects: the past, the present and the future. It is followed by the translation, in the form of a table containing also the source text as well as technical data. Then, commentaries about the translation and subtitling process.

Deze masterproef in het ondertitelen bevat drie hoofddelen. Eerst, een introductie in verband met het onderwerp van de documentaires, namelijk de spoorwegen in België en in Nederland, die opgebouwd is rondom drie delen: verleden (geschiedenis), heden (data over informatie over het huidige toestand) en toekomst. Daarna komt de vertaling van de twee documentaires, in de vorm van een tabel met ook het brontekst en technische gegevens. Ten slotte zijn er commentaren over het vertaal- en ondertitelingsproces.
