- Abstract
- Menopause is a delicate period, associated with variable symptom profiles in the female population. The symptoms, whether they result from a natural menopause or induced by anti-cancer treatment, deserve to be managed in order to allow these women to recover a correct quality of life. Especially since these symptoms would be characterized by a more intense appearance in women who have undergone an induced menopause rather than a natural menopause, thus justifying the urgency of a management. Since the hormonal approach is still contraindicated in women who have survived breast cancer, the treatment approach will therefore be oriented towards other available non-hormonal treatment modalities. However, a limited number of studies have focused exclusively on breast cancer survivors. Therefore, this dissertation has attempted to gather several sources of recently published articles in the literature related to this particular population of women.
