Abstract

Little is known about how demographic transition evolved in Luxembourg. The purpose of the thesis was to investigate whether the data of the country follows the stylized model of the demographic transition or if it looks completely different. The known model has been consistent with empirical data from many countries worldwide and has been studied for the last 50 years.
