Abstract
With a prevalence of 5,6%, psychosis represents a common psychiatric disorder in epilepsy. It has an impact both on the patient through a reduction in his quality of life as well as on public health through an increase in costs and thus requires appropriate care. This work aims to propose an adequate pharmacotherapeutic approach. Through a review of the literature, the antiepileptics most likely to cause psychosis were identified, as were antipsychotics with the greatest risk of inducing epileptic seizures. It discusses treatment proposals and management of any associated problem such as possible pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic interactions.
