- Abstract
- This thesis explores which user design features based on the user journey could boost engagement in mutualized PSS, with Library of Things (LoT) as a focal case. It shifts the focus towards users, their needs, motivations, and the functional and psychological frictions they encounter. Its goals are twofold. First, to identify ways to increase user engagement for LoTs. Second, to propose a flexible toolbox of design ideas that practitioners can adapt to local initiatives and make them more attractive than ownership. Based on a design thinking methodology, the study is both exploratory and action-oriented by combining qualitative data collection and the development of personas.
