- Abstract
- This master thesis explores the significance of Schottky diodes in high-frequency applications and the factors limiting their cutoff frequency. With the rapid growth in communication rates driven by increasing operating frequencies, the Schottky diode has emerged as a crucial component due to its high cutoff frequency and nonlinear characteristics. The thesis focuses on the 22 FDX Schottky diode from GlobalFoundries and analyzes its structure, compares models with laboratory measurements, extracts parameters, and performs TCAD analysis.
