Abstract
This research assesses the main policy and political developments of minimum income schemes and anti-poverty policies in France and Belgium, with a particular focus on their response and evolution during the very severe social crisis caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. This thesis is articulated around four main chapters, the last one constituting the core of the empirical research based on 21 semi-structured interviews.
