Abstract
At a time of accelerated digitalization, Big Data is emerging as a strategic pillar of choice for improving supply chain management. This thesis examines the impact of Big Data on Belgian companies, using a double approach: a literature review on the technological benefits of Big Data, and a qualitative survey among a dozen logistics professionals. The survey highlights the benefits of Big Data in terms of traceability, demand forecasting, inventory management and logistics responsiveness. However, integrating Big Data requires several prerequisites: digital infrastructures, specific skills and a culture of innovation. The results show that Big Data is more than just a tool: it is a real lever of transformation for an agile and intelligent Supply Chain. This research sheds light on the Belgian context, combining technological and organizational dimensions.
