- Abstract
- This thesis offers a critical exploration of the challenges raised by the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) in organizations, through a case study conducted within the company Odoo. Without claiming to demonstrate the direct effects of AI, the analysis seeks to understand how this technology is perceived, used, or questioned by various actors—HR managers, business analysts, and middle managers—in their everyday practices. The aim is to identify the tensions experienced between automation and autonomy, between task rationalization and the preservation of meaningful work. Drawing on a transdisciplinary approach that bridges philosophy and management sciences, the thesis sheds light on the symbolic, relational, and organizational transformations brought about by the "management of artificial resources." It also highlights the central role that the HR function could play in the ethical, educational, and capability-building dimensions of these transformations. Ultimately, this work advocates for an augmented enterprise that is not only technological, but also truly human and reflective.
