Abstract
This dissertation examines the impact of artificial intelligence on software test automation, focusing on two dimensions: the performance of testing processes and the management of IT teams. Based on a literature review and ten semi-structured interviews with IT professionals of varying profiles (juniors, mid-level, seniors), the thematic analysis reveals real benefits. A reduction in maintenance time, increased test coverage, and a positive ROI after 8 to 12 months are observed. However, these benefits depend on rigorous human supervision. From a managerial perspective, roles are evolving towards more strategy and analysis. Resistance to change and governance challenges remain major hurdles. An emergent theme, absent from existing literature, is identified: junior professionals' concern about the impact of AI on their professional learning. Eight concrete recommendations are formulated for managers and organisations seeking to adopt these technologies responsibly.
