Abstract
In a volatile financial landscape, determining intrinsic value is essential for robust investment decisions. This thesis provides a fundamental analysis of Melexis, a leader in automotive semiconductor sensing, to assess its long-term investment potential. The study combines a strategic evaluation of the company’s fabless business model and competitive positioning with a financial analysis. The valuation integrates a comparative peer group analysis and a three-scenario Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) model to account for sector-specific risks. The results indicate a fair value range of 57,00 - 60,52 € per share, versus a market price of 76,35 € as of 12 May 2026. While Melexis demonstrates operational excellence, the investment recommendation remains Sell due to inherent industry cyclicality. This research bridges academic valuation theory with the practical realities of the semiconductor market.
