- Abstract
- The sharing economy is now establishing itself as a major and rapidly growing market. However, behind the rapid success of platforms like Airbnb or Uber, deviant behaviors are emerging, undermining the model. By revealing tensions between consumer expectations and behavioral issues, this study sheds light on a key challenge: the coexistence of different stakeholders (consumers, service providers, and platforms), each carrying divergent visions. This work offers an analytical exploration of the mechanisms of this economy, drawing on a literature review and user testimonials. The objective is clear: to identify, understand, and categorize harmful behaviors in order to better prevent them. By exploring avenues for improvement, this study provides anyone interested with a new perspective on these emerging modes of exchange in our society.
