Abstract
Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by impaired cognitive function. In 2018, it affected roughly 50 million people over the world. So far, there is no preventive or curative treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. Nobiletin, tangeretin and auraptene are molecules found in Citrus fruits and pocess, many medicinal properties. The dissertation’s objective is to evaluate if these three molecules have a therapeutic interest in Alzheimer's disease. To achieve this goal, several experimental studies will be analyzed to determine whether or not these molecules have an interest, and by what mechanisms. The dissertation begins with an introduction in order to describe firstly the disease and its physiopathological mechanisms and secondly the Citrus and the selected molecules. Then, a methodology will explain the research approach to select the studies. Finally, the studies, classified by level of evidence, will be analyzed and discussed.
