Abstract
This research examines the role of accreditation standards in driving institutional isomorphism, using the case study of EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA accreditations for business schools. Drawing on DiMaggio and Powell's (1983) concept of institutional isomorphism, the study investigates three primary forms of isomorphic pressures, coercive, normative, and mimetic, that emerge from accreditation standards. A qualitative research design is adopted relying on 17 semi- structured interviews with senior leaders from AMBA, EQUIS, and AACSB-accredited business schools.
