Abstract

enThis master’s thesis aims to analyse the linguistic ideologies and linguistic behaviours present in discourses about French from Belgium, more precisely discourses produced on video-sharing platforms. The goal is to identify, in videos, traces of the standard language ideology, of linguistic behaviours, processes of ideologization, and marks of ideological resistance or of linguistic insecurity. It also aims to examine how these elements are made visible and to try to understand the role played by the platform, social media. To this end, a grid has been created to analyse qualitatively a sample of videos from YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
