Abstract
enSpelling is part of our daily lives. It manifests itself at every stage and in every aspect of our lives. It accompanies us from school through to our professional and private lives. However, many people find it difficult to write without mistakes. The complexity of French spelling stems from its constant evolution and intrinsic particularities. Although spelling problems in education are often mentioned, what about in the professional sphere? The aim of this study is to provide an in-depth analysis of recruiters' impressions of the applications they receive. It sheds light on the place of spelling in a professional context within French-speaking companies in Belgium. The aim of the study is to reveal how spelling mistakes in applications can influence recruiters' decisions, and how they are interpreted.
