Abstract

Ce travail de fin d'études en Histoire a pour objectif d'exploiter les ordonnances ducales de Philippe le Bon, troisième duc de Bourgogne, pour le comté de Namur. Les ordonnances sont des textes législatifs nous ayant permis d'établir certains aspects de la politique du duc dans l'espace namurois. La période étudiée correspond à la durée du principat depuis l'acquisition du comté, soit de 1421 à 1467. Après une présentation du contexte et de la source historique, et après avoir établi l'état de l'art et cerné une problématique de recherche, le travail propose une analyse du corpus de 42 ordonnances ducales à travers différentes thématiques: d'abord l'économie, ensuite la fiscalité, et enfin les aspects militaires et judiciaires. Par cette analyse thématique, il s'agit de caractériser les rapports de Philippe le Bon au comté de Namur et la politique qu'il a pu y mener.

The aim of this final year project in History is to exploit the ducal ordinances of Philip the Good, third Duke of Burgundy, for the county of Namur. The ordinances are legislative texts that enable us to establish certain aspects of the Duke's policy in the county. The period studied corresponds to the duration of the principate since the acquisition of the county, i.e. from 1421 to 1467. Following a presentation of the context and the historical source, and after having established the state-of-the-art and identified a research question, the work proposes an analysis of the corpus of 42 ducal ordinances through different topics : first the economy, then taxation, and finally military and judiciary aspects. Through this thematic analysis, the aim is to characterize Philip the Good's relationship with the county of Namur and the policies he pursued there.
