- Abstract
- This thesis presents a strategic analysis of LinkitUP, a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the digital divide for older adults, from 2022 to 2025. As digital literacy becomes increasingly essential, LinkitUP addresses the pressing need for seniors to engage effectively with technology, fostering digital inclusion and intergenerational connections. This study employs a comprehensive approach, integrating environmental analysis, market surveys, competitive positioning, and financial forecasting to outline a strategic path forward for the organization. Environmental and market analyses reveal significant opportunities amid demographic shifts and rapid technological advancements. The growing senior population and unique needs underscore the importance of personalized tech education, which LinkitUP is strategically positioned to provide. The operational and organizational plans detailed in this thesis illustrate the internal mechanisms LinkitUP utilizes to deliver its services efficiently, emphasizing a volunteer-based model that leverages Belgium's "Volontaires défrayés" system. Financial projections discussed predict robust growth and financial sustainability, highlighting an anticipated revenue increase from €16,200 in 2023 to €259,200 in 2025. Strategic investments in human resources are identified as crucial to supporting this growth, and eventually exploring external funding opportunities to facilitate scaling operations. The thesis also addresses potential risks and challenges, recommending proactive strategies for risk management and organizational adaptation. By enhancing its volunteer base, diversifying funding strategies, and leveraging technological advancements, LinkitUP can sustain and expand its impact. As LinkitUP transitions to new leadership in 2023, this thesis is a strategic guide, providing a foundation for future decisions and actions to drive the organization's success. The findings contribute to ongoing discussions about digital inclusion and aim to position LinkitUP for continued growth and effectiveness in fulfilling its mission.
