Abstract
The interest for spin crossover phenomenon has growth exponentially over the years. Over the course of this work, we have tried to synthesise and characterise (4,4)-connected iron(II) coordination polymers. To achieve this, we used liquid diffusion technics. As you will notice, this method has shown some limits. We were able to synthesise one SCO polymer and two other polymers which are not stable or unusable. We elaborate on some possible exploration routes. Even if further analyses should be done, we have already observed an impressive colour change with the spin transition of one of our compounds. This could lead to potential applications in digital display for example by using its thermochromism. Optimisation procedures must be developed for the other crystals in order to study them in-depth.
