- Abstract
- This thesis will attempt to draw on the findings of various studies focusing on the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) through a review of the literature. The aim of this approach is to contextualize the presence of generative AI in our society in order to gain a clear understanding of its influence on our communication practices. These practices include reception and evaluation, as well as discursive production. Rather than simply repeating existing theoretical contributions, this study will interpret them from various perspectives to provide a comprehensive understanding of their applications. It will also aim to demonstrate that the communicative effects of generative AI depend on the purposes of use, the degree of critical engagement, and the manner in which it is integrated into communicative practices. Thus, this thesis offers a cross-disciplinary and critical analysis of the uses of generative AI as they are constructed in the scientific literature on Information and Communication Sciences (ICS).
