- Abstract
- This thesis examines the impact of user experience (UX) on user engagement and retention on music streaming platforms. It aims to identify the design elements and features that encourage continued use, as well as the main factors that hinder the user experience. The study is based on a mixed-methods approach combining an online survey, individual interviews, and a focus group. The findings show that UX plays a decisive role in user engagement, particularly through interface clarity, personalization, and the relevance of recommendations. Conversely, information overload, repetitive suggestions, and the lack of advanced filtering options emerge as major sources of frustration. Overall, the study highlights the importance of a human-centered UX approach in strengthening the competitiveness and user retention of streaming platforms.
