Abstract
As our society becomes increasingly electrified to meet the decarbonization objectives, the transition to sustainable mobility is placing a significant pressure on residential electrical distribution infrastructure. In Belgium, the Distribution System Operators (DSO) are facing a surge in connection and meter upgrade requests for electric vehicle stations. Due to this increase of demand, the delay between the request and the implementation of the change can take several month or even a year. The goal of this master thesis is to design a power converter that is able to convert AC single-phase 230V to AC three-phase 400V + N to power an electric vehicle at a maximum power of 11kW and respecting the EMI emissions standards with a power factor near to the unity.
